DELMORE RECORDING SOCIETY:
The Proud and Regal Name in Sound
Delmore Recording Society is a mostly archival label located in Nashville, Tennessee; and Chicago, IL. Delmore began as an offshoot of the Do Easy Booking Agency/Management Company (named after the William S. Burroughs philosophy), which Mark Linn established in 1989. Linn spent his time getting gigs (and into trouble with) Arthur Lee, Michael Hurley, John Fahey to name a few. He landed Arthur Lee a deal with France's New Rose label, and in 1992 released the "Arthur Lee and Love" CD, featuring all-new material and a new lineup of session musicians. Linn executive produced the record and set up a European tour in support of its release.
